Frequently asked questions.
Quick answers to the things delegates ask us most. Got something else? Email [email protected] or call 020 8269 4260.
Booking and payment
Click any course in our catalogue, pick a date, fill in your details and either pay by card straight away or request an invoice for your company. We confirm by email within an hour during office hours.
Yes - most of our delegates pay by invoice. Choose "request invoice" at checkout, give us your company details and we will email you a PDF invoice the same day. Payment is due before the course starts.
We take Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay and Google Pay via Stripe. You can pay at checkout or we can take card payment over the phone.
Yes - we can pencil you in subject to availability. We confirm public courses two weeks before the start date. If the course goes ahead, we will email you joining instructions; if not, no charge is taken.
We cannot accept cancellations closer to the course start date than 14 days. However, we can reschedule a booking if you contact us within 7 days of the course.
Yes. Two delegates from the same company on the same course: 10% off the second seat. Three or more: contact us - for groups it usually works out cheaper to run a private course at your offices.
Yes - we are an approved supplier on several public-sector training frameworks and can quote against your purchase-order workflow. Email [email protected] with your framework details.
On the day
Classroom courses run 10:00 to 17:00 with a one-hour lunch break. Live online courses run to the same hours, but breaks are personalised to the class by your trainer.
Transmedia House, 9 Station Terrace, London NW10 5RT - 15 seconds walk from Kensal Rise overground station. Full directions and transport info are on our Find Us page.
Pay-and-display on Station Terrace (Brent CC) and some other streets outside the ULEZ. We also recommend parking apps such as Just Park (https://www.justpark.com/uk).
We always provide latest Mac or PC workstations with all the software pre-installed. However, you are welcome to bring your own laptop if you prefer.
Both. Let us know at booking time which you prefer and we will allocate that machine for you.
Always the latest release, with all fast-changing products such as Adobe Creative Cloud scrupulously up to date.
Teas, coffee and refreshments are always provided. There are at least a dozen friendly independent local cafes within 5 minutes walk of the training centre.
No, we don't record courses. Sessions are highly interactive - recording would change the dynamic. You will have your own notes, and plenty of post-training resources are provided after the course.
After the course
Yes - every delegate who completes a course receives a Transmedia certificate of completion via email within 24 hours. You can also re-download it any time from your attendee portal.
Every course comes with unlimited follow-up support. If you're stuck on something we taught you, email us and your trainer will reply within two working days.
Every course has a curated list of follow-on resources such as YouTube videos and articles.
Live online courses
Sessions run using remote tools such as Zoom. You join from your own machine using your own copy of the software - we send you the Zoom link a couple of days before. The trainer shares their screen, you share yours when needed, and class sizes stay small for proper interaction.
A reasonably modern computer with audio and preferably a webcam. Wired internet is more reliable than Wi-Fi for a full day on Zoom. Two screens helps but isn't required.
No problem - you can rejoin from your phone or another machine and we will recap whatever you missed. We have never had a session fail because of a connection issue.
Private and corporate training
Yes - a lot of our work is private team training. It's what people choose when they want a course designed around their actual tools, projects and goals. Delivered at your offices, our London centre, or live online. As always, we quote within 24 hours of an initial chat.
Yes - we run on-site training across the UK and internationally. Travel is quoted separately and we can usually arrange dates around your team's schedule.
Always. We almost never run a private course exactly as the public version. Tell us what your team needs to achieve and we will design backwards from that.
Yes - happy to sign yours, and we can provide ours if you prefer. Lots of our corporate clients work with us under standard mutual NDAs.
Generally we recommend splitting - mixed-ability classes slow everyone down. For corporate engagements we often run a beginner cohort first then a follow-on advanced cohort for the same client.
About Transmedia
Since 1994 - that's 32 years of teaching professionals to use the tools that pay their bills. Over 150,000 delegates trained, 160+ courses, 4.9★ on Google.
Some have manufacturer certifications where these are available, but every trainer is an experienced practitioner in their specialism. They are the same practitioners who work on client projects when we are asked to provide consultancy and development services. You're learning from people who use these tools for a living, rather than teachers who 'learn enough to teach'.
Yes - we run train-the-trainer programmes for in-house L&D teams who want to roll software training out internally. Contact us for a tailored proposal.
