- How to use Audacity in your audio production
- Importing audio from a digital source eg. portable recorder, CD, USB memory stick etc.
- Editing the material
Using the Multi-track options
- Multi-track recording
- Cutting audio from multiple tracks
- Locking tracks together to keep them synchronised
- Mix multiple selected tracks into a single mono or stereo track
- Adding the mixed track to the project while preserving the original tracks
- Moving tracks up and down
Practical Exercises
- Making editorial judgements - what to include and what can be lost without compromising the overall aim of the production
- Working in mono and stereo
- Adding sound effects and/or music to create 'pictures in the mind' of your listener
- Using noise reduction tools to remove or reduce unwanted background sounds
- Adding effects such as EQ, reverb, pitch, echo, delay and compression
- Adding voice links
The Finished Production
- Mixing down your production to a .wav or .mp3 file acceptable to host platforms

How is the content taught throughout the Audacity Introduction course?
Our Audacity Introduction course is extremely interactive. You will be using Audacity throughout the day, working through examples and live projects under the guidance of our trainer, who will be supporting you through each step.
What is the recommended number of people for the class when I attend the Audacity Introduction course?
For private classes in Audacity Introduction, we recommend a maximum of 8 to 10 people from the same company in the class. Please ask our customer service team to help you find the right balance of people per class and the number of days training you need.
Should I attend the Audacity Introduction course in person or live online?
For in-person courses at our London training centre, you will receive a warm personal welcome, your choice of the latest Mac or PC and morning and afternoon refreshments. If you prefer to attend remotely, rest assured that you will be taught live by the same experts that deliver our in-person courses, covering the same training content, using the same exercises and materials. A second monitor is recommended but not essential.
